Graphic Public Health: A Tool for Health Communication,
Education, and Advocacy
What is Graphic Public Health? Whit Taylor, MPH will discuss the relationship between Graphic Public Health and Graphic Medicine as well as its application in public health communication, education, and advocacy. Taylor will provide some insights into this growing medium, sharing her own journey as a cartoonist and editor, as well as comics from various creators.
Whit Taylor is an Ignatz-Award winning cartoonist, editor, and public health educator from New Jersey. She holds a BA in cultural anthropology from Brown University and an MPH from the Boston University School of Public Health. In recent years, she has worked as a freelancer and contributing editor for The Nib. Her public health history book with artist Joyce Rice, The Greater Good, will be published by First Second in 2026.
