An overview of the Language Services mandates, Joint Commission requirements, and an overview of the PSH language services policies.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the differences between interpretation and translation as well as fluent, proficient, and qualified Medical Interpreters.
- Understand the Joint Commission Standards on interpretation and translation services.
- Recognize the PSH Policies and procedures for Limited English Proficiency and Deaf or Hard of Hearing Patients
