No fibbin’: How to manage and treat atrial fibrillation

Atrial fibrillation, or AFib, is an irregular, often rapid heart rhythm. It can lower your quality of life and raise your risk of stroke and a hospital stay. In this Lunch & Learn, we’ll talk about:
- AFib signs, symptoms and risks
- Surgical and nonsurgical treatments, including:
– Stroke prevention
– Blood thinners
– Heart rate and rhythm control
– Device therapy
Presenter
Dr. Christopher Rogers
Dr. Chris Rogers is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Rogers earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Jefferson Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia and served his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, New Jersey.
