NO-COST PROGRAM FOR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDERS (MD, DO, RN, PA, NP) 

Equipping primary care providers with the insights, tools, and collaborative support to integrate oral health into routine medical care — This free virtual program leverages the Smiles for Life: A National Oral Health Curriculum to build state-wide capacity in oral examination, prevention counseling, acute triage, and community referrals. 

Through interactive case discussions and expert-led sessions with a multidisciplinary hub team, you will gain practical, real-world strategies to confidently manage oral health access challenges, acute dental problems, and improve overall systemic health for patients across the lifespan. 

Program Highlights

Whether you are new to oral health integration or looking to refine your approach, this program helps you build the competence and confidence to improve patient outcomes. Topics include: 

• Performing 90-second oral exams and recognizing oral-systemic connections 
• Navigating rural access barriers and establishing referral pathways 
• Managing adult, geriatric, pediatric, and pregnancy oral health needs 
• Triaging acute dental pain and infections 
• Implementing caries risk assessments and fluoride varnish workflows in primary care
