Penn State Health offers free Safe at Home virtual program

May 1, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Penn State Health offers Safe at Home, a 90-minute virtual program to prepare children 10 to 12 years old to be safe at home alone. Participants will learn how to practice safe habits, prevent unsafe situations and handle emergencies, such as power failures or weather emergencies. They also will learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

This virtual program will be held via Microsoft Teams. Class materials will be mailed out in advance.

Reserve your child’s spot by emailing injuryprevention@pennstatehealth.psu.edu by Thursday, April 18, for the May 1 class or Thursday, May 23, for the June 5 class. Participation is limited to the first 20 registrants for each class.
