Potluck and kickoff for the John P. Richie, Jr. Memorial Award in Public Health

February 29, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Dr. John Richie was a beloved researcher and professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine from 2004 to 2023. His research focused on understanding the mechanisms behind aging and cancer, and the effect of environmental exposures, such as tobacco and dietary intake on aging and cancer. His legacy will live on in the lives that he touched both personally and professionally.

The John P. Richie, Jr. Memorial Award in Public Health Sciences will support junior faculty and trainees in Public Health.

In the spirit of John’s love of great food and friendly collaboration, bring your favorite dish to share.

Donations to the fund will be accepted during the event via cash or check made payable to Penn State College of Medicine.
