Research Document Management for College of Medicine Researchers

Description

The purpose of this training is to enhance the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of documentation practices across research activities. The training will focus on content relevant to College of Medicine researchers. By the end of this training, participants should be better equipped to assemble essential records and regulatory binders, describe types of data collection tools, and identify sources of research data. Participants should also be more comfortable applying good recordkeeping practices for participant research records and recognize good clinical practice guidelines for electronic data capture systems.

Credit: This training is eligible for PSNA credit. It does NOT count toward SARI credit.

Registration: To register in Penn State’s Learning Resource Network (LRN):

Attempting to log in to the LRN using a browser where you are already logged in to a Penn State Health website or system will result in an error message. Use the following instructions to register:

  1. Open an incognito window in your current browser.
    • Chrome: select the Menu (three vertical dots) in the upper right corner and select New Incognito Window.
    • Microsoft Edge: select the More Actions menu (three dots) in the upper right and choose New InPrivate Window.
    • Firefox: select the Menu (three vertical lines) in the upper right corner and select New Private Window. Open an incognito window in your current browser.
  2. Copy the LRN registration link from the Registration Link section above.
  3. Paste the link in the incognito browser’s address bar.
  4. Log in with your Penn State email address (abc123@psu.edu) and password, not your Penn State Health credentials.

Add events

Penn State Health and Penn State employees can request access to add events to this calendar. Requests require access to Penn State Health’s Workfront, which requires a login separate from existing Penn State and Penn State Health accounts.
