Spring 2024 Dean’s Lecture

Blanton Tolbert, PhD, will present the Spring 2024 Dean’s Lecture, “Non-competing Interests: An Affinity for RNA Interactions and Advancing Equity and Inclusion in Science,” on Tuesday, May 14 from noon to 1 p.m. The lecture will be presented in Junker Auditorium and via Zoom.
Dr. Tolbert is vice president of science leadership and culture at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where he develops and leads the new Center for the Advancement of Science Leadership and Culture. The mission of the Center is to intentionally integrate equity and inclusion into research culture. He is also professor of biochemistry and biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to this position, he was the Rudolph and Susan Rense Professor of Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University.
