February 5, 2027, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

The End of Life Seen from Different Religious, Spiritual and Philosophical Perspectives

The Office of Health Advancement & Community Engagement welcome you to join us for a thought-provoking session at the Upstander Café – Social Justice.  How do different faiths, spiritual traditions, and philosophical worldviews understand the end of life?  Explore the diverse beliefs, values, and perspectives that shape how individuals find meaning, comfort and understanding during life’s final chapter.

Participants will:

  • Develop an understanding of end-of-life perspectives from various religious traditions
  • Recognize different philosophical interpretations of the end-of-life experience
  • Identify key spiritual considerations and beliefs associated with end-of-life care

Through meaningful discussion and reflection, this session will offer valuable insights into the ways culture, belief, and personal values influence end-of-life experiences. Register today to broaden your perspective and deepen your understanding of this universal human experience.

Rooted in Our Values
The Upstander Café reinforces Penn State Health’s RITE values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
