Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health have appointed Dawood Darbar, MD, an internationally recognized physician-scientist and cardiovascular leader, as chair of the Department of Medicine, effective March 23.

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center has completed a $1 million renovation of its Breidegam Family Birthing Center. The project included modernized interiors with new flooring, paint and visitor-friendly reclining sofas that convert into beds.
