College of Medicine graduate students honored for accomplishments
Three Penn State College of Medicine graduate students received special recognition at the Graduate School Student Awards ceremony on April 25 in State College.
Graduate Student Excellence in Mentoring Award
This award was presented to Taryn Mockus, doctoral candidate in Neuroscience.
The award recognizes senior doctoral students for exemplary and effective mentoring of undergraduate and/or new or junior graduate students that significantly contributes to the student’s personal growth, professional development and/or academic success.

Kristin Lambert, a doctoral candidate in Biomedical Sciences and a student in the MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program, received the Penn State Alumni Association Scholarship in April 2018. She is pictured with University President Eric Barron.
Penn State Alumni Association Scholarship for Penn State Alumni in the Graduate School
This award was presented to Kristin Lambert, a doctoral candidate in Biomedical Sciences and a student in the MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program. Lambert earned her Bachelor of Science degree in immunology and infectious disease/biology from Penn State University Park in 2014.
This award provides recognition and financial assistance to students who have been admitted to the Graduate School at Penn State as candidates for a graduate degree and who received their undergraduate degree from the University.

Professional Master's Excellence Award
This award was presented to Elizabeth Krajan, Master of Public Health student.
Krajan was one of four students who were honored with this award, which recognizes individual student excellence in a professional master’s degree program under the Graduate School, in any discipline. The Professional Master's Excellence Award is based upon the student’s academic record in the graduate program and the quality and impact of the student’s culminating experience, including creative works, performance and projects conducted in a professional setting.
