Adley named DAISY Leadership Award winner
Hershey Medical Center presented the first-ever DAISY Leadership Award to April Adley, vice president of nursing for the Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health Services. Adley is executive sponsor of the council.
In a letter nominating Adley, the council said she matched the award’s criteria. “April is natural born leader who role models this in her everyday practice,” council members wrote. “It is her ability to empathize with situations but still manage up her team and/or staff to be the best version of themselves.”
The DAISY Nurse Leader Award was created to shine a light on the managers and others who do not typically have direct patient care as part of their work. Read more about the award here.
