Are you a champion? Research staff invited to share their expertise as CTSI Research Champions

The Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) invites experienced research staff to become CTSI Research Champions.

Champions support fellow researchers by sharing valuable skills such as gift card distribution, qualitative coding, EMR queries and using AI or machine learning tools.

Eligibility

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Mastered a research-related skillset
  • Served as a “go-to” resource for a specific research process or task
  • Developed instructions or standard operating procedures to improve efficiency for themselves and their team 

What Champions do

Champions help by:

  • Creating resources for specific tasks or processes
  • Serving as a point person for their area of expertise
  • Collaborating with central research offices to develop, validate and regularly update resources
  • Co-hosting online chat or Zoom hours, approximately once per quarter
  • Assisting with training during iSMART “Now What?” sessions based on their skillset

 Champion benefits

As a Research Champion, you will receive:

  • Recognition within the research community
  • A Champion Certificate and digital badge for your CV and email signature
  • A spotlight in the CTSI newsletter highlighting your contributions
