Berini: ‘greatest gifts are respect, patience and hope’

Hershey Medical Center President Deborah Berini stresses the importance of working together during one of the most challenging times in health care in the latest edition of the President’s Perspective.

Dear Colleagues,

During this not-so-normal holiday season, the greatest gifts we can give to one another are respect, patience and hope.

  • Respect for our colleagues, patients, families and friends by practicing safe behaviors and protecting one another from the spread of COVID-19.
  • Patience for one another as we work through long days, care for our community and juggle the demands of professional and personal lives.
  • Hope in the simple form of a smile, a shared holiday recipe or a small act of kindness or care to support each other and keep us all going.

I want to thank you all for your contributions and commitment during one of the most challenging times in health care. We will come though this together, but it is going to take all of us working as one.

I recorded a short video , and I hope you will join me in continuing our efforts to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Though our celebrations may be smaller this year, I wish you all the joys of the season and look forward to a brighter new year.

Deborah Berini
President
