Exploring the future: Graduate and postdoctoral students attend Career Day

More than 100 Penn State College of Medicine students and postdoctoral scholars examined a variety of career options at the ninth biennial Career Day held Oct. 21, 2017, in Hershey. Organized by the Graduate Student Association of the College of Medicine, the daylong event showcased career opportunities and experiences available to graduates with advanced degrees in the biomedical sciences and public health.

Forty-eight panelists shared their career experiences in biotechnology, the nonprofit sector, teaching, science policy and law, among others. College of Medicine alumni comprised nearly half of the panelists. Students and panelists concluded the day with a networking reception at the University Conference Center. See a list of presenters here.

The next Career Day is scheduled for Oct. 19, 2019. For details, contact Jessica Kirkwood at jlk296@psu.edu or 717-531-5467.
