The 2019 3C Award was given to Dr. Cynthia Chuang, who was nominated by her peers for support of her departmental female colleagues.
Dr. Jennifer Kraschnewski wrote in her nomination of Dr. Chuang, “She is quick to identify professional development for all of her faculty, however, remains particularly focused on ensuring women within her division have a ‘seat at the table.'” Dr. Chuang’s dedication and efforts toward women’s health and women’s health care rights was also recognized.
