Diagnostic radiology resident helps investigate students’ feelings on AI in medicine

Christian Park, DO, a trainee in Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Diagnostic Radiology Residency, was part of a project to survey more than 260 MD and DO students across the United States about their feelings on AI in medicine.

Dr. Park undertook the work when he was a fourth-year medical student at University of Maryland School of Medicine, working with Eliot Siegel, MD, professor and vice chair of research information systems in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Maryland.

Their work was published in a September 2018 Medscape Med Students Perspective article.

At Penn State Health, Dr. Park is involved in the Clinical Radiology Research Group, which he co-founded. He is also pursuing an MBA from Penn State Smeal College of Business and co-founded the American College of Radiology Artificial Intelligence Medical Student Symposium.
