College of Medicine Pandemic Response for Feb. 25

This Week’s Updates
Online Check-in Process No Longer Required
College of Medicine faculty, staff and students no longer need to complete the online check-in process on med.psu.edu/checkin before entering campus buildings. Do not come to campus if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
Symptomatic Students and Employees
Students experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should contact Student Health at 717-531-5998. Do not come to campus or to the Student Health office as it could put others at risk.
College of Medicine employees experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should contact Occupational Medicine at psuoccmed@psu.edu or 814-863-8492.
One-time Attestation Required for All New Employees and Students
All new Penn State College of Medicine employees and students will be required to complete a one-time attestation stating they will not enter any College of Medicine building or Penn State Health clinical area if they have symptoms of COVID-19. Additionally, all new students or employees will be required to be vaccinated, participate in weekly testing or have an approved medical or religious accommodation.
Room Capacity
The current room capacity for lecture halls, conference rooms and other educational spaces in the College remains at 50% of maximum occupancy.
Summer Research Internships for College Undergraduate and High School Students
At this time, in-person research internships in laboratories are still suspended. However, administrative leadership will revisit this policy on a regular basis as we move forward in the spring semester.
Working from Home
We continue to urge those faculty and staff who can work full time or part time from home to continue to do so in order to keep the population density in the College to a minimum. All employees should work with their supervisor to determine how to best meet their work goals.
