Community events seek volunteers

Penn State Health employees have the opportunity to make a difference in the community they serve by volunteering at several local events.

TuTu 2k Walk and 5K Run

  • What: Walkers and runners wear tutus and T-shirts as they raise money for breast health education. Volunteers are needed to help with parking, water stations and route guides.
  • When: 8:30-10 am., Saturday, April 13
  • Where: Milton Hershey School (Henry Hershey Field Brook Drive, Hershey).
  • How to sign up: Click here, review the options listed and choose a volunteer position.
  • Get a T-shirt: Click here, choose “register” on the right side. When asked for a code, enter “VOLUNTEER.”

Walk MS: Hershey 2019

  • What: This 1- to 3-mile walk for all age groups benefits multiple sclerosis services and research.
  • When: Walk site opens at 11 a.m. Walk begins at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 28
  • Where: Milton Hershey School Athletic Complex, 665 Brook Drive, Hershey
  • How to sign up: Email Dr. Gary Thomas.

Penn State RecFest

  • What: Hershey Medical Center’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital showcase life skills and resources for individuals with disabilities.
  • When: 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, May 19
  • Where: Penn State Harrisburg, 777 West Harrisburg Pike, Middletown
