Discounted Hershey Symphony Orchestra gala tickets available for faculty, staff

The Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present its annual “Shall We Dance” Benefit Gala from 5:30 to 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. Penn State Health is a sponsor of the event, so all Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center staff and Penn State College of Medicine faculty and students are able to buy discounted tickets for $90, which is $35 less than full price.

The spring gala will include dinner, a beginner dance lesson, exhibition dancing and dance sets featuring the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and the Hershey Symphony Dance Band. Also, more than 100 items will be up for bid in a silent auction.

To purchase tickets, faculty and staff can visit the Sponsor Discount Page. The deadline is Monday, March 18.

The symphony’s annual gala typically draws hundreds of guests. This year’s “Golden Gala” will commemorate the orchestra’s 50th anniversary.

Established in 1969 as a chamber ensemble by a group of musicians at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the Hershey Symphony has grown to be one of the largest volunteer orchestras in the nation with 80-plus members from throughout central Pennsylvania.
