Every child deserves the chance to thrive in school and life
Kindergarten is the first steppingstone to success in school and in life. United Way of the Capital Region’s Ready for School, Ready to Succeed program helps prepare children ages
3-5 for that crucial year. The pilot program provides access to preschools and school readiness workshops that nurture children’s academic and social skills, plus a range of family support services.

Close to 700 individuals have participated in workshops hosted at three area schools in the past year. United Way plans to add more schools and provide more access to families in the coming year.
