Find out what everyone’s Yammering about

Are you missing your workplace and peer-to-peer connections as you work from home? Do you want to reach out to your colleagues to share ideas or provide feedback?

Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees now have a new way to connect virtually ― Yammer, an enterprise social networking tool. Yammer provides a collaborative environment to help you connect, engage and share with colleagues.

To get started, access and bookmark Yammer, and sign in with your @pennstatehealth.psu.edu email address. The Yammer job aid will walk you through it. You can access the all-company group and any private groups you are invited to join. As you prepare your first post, think about sharing inspirational quotes or tips and tricks about working remotely.

Currently, access to Yammer is only available when you are connected to the Penn State Health and College of Medicine network on-site or through one of the following remote access solutions: AnyConnect VPN, Citrix VPN, Remote PC Access and Virtual Desktop (Windows10-Corp). Over the coming weeks, Information Services will expand access to Yammer through mobile devices.

Using Yammer is optional, and it will not be used to post important Penn State Health and College of Medicine news. Yammer will also not be moderated or monitored to provide responses to COVID-19 or other systemwide questions. Continue to direct those types of inquiries to askaCOVIDq@pennstatehealth.psu.edu. All organization policies, including those on sharing protected health information and using social media, apply when using Yammer.

Yammer’s launch is the first phase in a multiphase rollout of the Microsoft Office 365 (O365) cloud suite at Penn State Health and College of Medicine. Watch Daily Brief for details on the rollout as well as job aids and tutorials.
