Hale recognized with Excellence in Enhancing Diversity and Inclusion Award

Cory Hale, a clinical pharmacy coordinator in infectious diseases at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, has been named the July 2025 recipient of the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Hale prioritizes diversity and inclusion as director of the Postgraduate Year One Pharmacy Residency program. Under his leadership, the program added a virtual interview option for candidates who can’t afford to travel for an on-site interview and added interview questions focused on diversity and inclusion. Hale continues to seek new ways to improve diversity and inclusion across the program. He also serves as a role model for those inside and outside the program.
Hale, who joined Penn State Health in 2016, is also the co-director of Hershey Medical Center’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.
He selected Penn State Health pharmacists Kayla Bardzel and Manny Isherwood as his hidden heroes.
“Their dedication and innovation in enhancing our residency program and recruitment methods have been vital to our shared success,” Hale said.
