Hameed honored for resident education excellence

Ahmad Hameed, MD

Ahmad Hameed, MD, associate professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Penn State Health/Penn State College of Medicine, was recently honored for his work in resident education.

Dr. Hameed was a winner of the 2020 Irma Bland Award for Excellence in Teaching Residents given by the American Psychiatric Association. The annual award is given to association members who have made outstanding and sustaining contribution to resident education in psychiatry.

Dr. Hameed is the program director of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Psychiatry Residency.
