Award recognizes diversity efforts at Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey Medical Center

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine recently received the 2017 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from Insight Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.

This national honor recognizes U.S. medical, dental, pharmacy, osteopathic, nursing and allied health schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. The organization was featured in the magazine’s December 2017 issue. Previously, Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine received the award in 2016.
