Hershey Medical Center names February Employee of the Month

Respiratory therapist Liz Ramirez, an employee of Hershey Medical Center for more than 30 years, has been awarded the February 2023 Employee of the Month. She works at the West Campus Health and Wellness Center.

Ramirez is recognized by her colleagues for seamlessly transitioning into a newly created respiratory allergy role, showcasing her ability to learn new skills, enhance efficiency and positively impact patient experience. Highlights of her nomination letter say that she:

• Creates improved processes in areas like lung function testing
• Educates patients and team members on inhaler techniques
• Strives to incorporate best practices into the respiratory team’s work
• Prioritizes collaborative behaviors to promote team success
