Hershey Medical Center welcomes back students for clinical rotations this fall
After taking a break during the COVID-19 pandemic, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is resuming rotations for clinical disciplines in the fall term.
While Penn State College of Medicine medical students and Penn State College of Nursing students have already begun their clinical rotations, other departments within the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center are also resuming.
Career shadowing is currently on hold.
For students from colleges and universities that have an affiliation agreement with Hershey Medical Center in departments, rotations include, but are not limited to, respiratory therapists, social workers, radiology technologists, cardiac technicians, child life specialists, kinesiologists/exercise physiologists, paramedics/EMTs and sonographers.
Institutions that have existing clinical affiliation agreements with Hershey Medical Center should check with their regular points of contact within departments to obtain updated onboarding requirements for clinical rotations.
“The importance of continuing academic and teaching opportunities for other clinical specialties is critical to our mission as an organization and to the care we provide our patients,” said Mona Miliner, vice president of operations at Hershey Medical Center. “We are looking forward to a safe return of students in the fall.”
