Hershey Medical Center Wins Top Hospital Award

The Leapfrog Group has recognized Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with a Top Teaching Hospital award, which honors facilities that perform highest on Leapfrog’s annual survey. According to Leapfrog, Top Hospitals have better systems in place to prevent medication errors, higher quality of maternity care and lower infection rates, among other attributes. In early November, Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center earned As in Leapfrog’s Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grade. Learn more here.

Wild Onions Call for Entries

Faculty and staff — both clinical and non-clinical — patients, families, students and volunteers are invited to submit original literary, artistic or photographic work to Wild Onions, a publication for the literary and visual arts. The deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 15. Visit the Wild Onions website to submit a work. For more information, contact Tiffany Yeh or Xiaojie Liao.
