PTO/Vacation Donation
Five employees have been approved for the primary Paid Time off (PTO)/Vacation Donation Program:

Employees interested in donating their Primary PTO hours may do so by going to mySolutions, search “PTO Donation” (log-in may be required) and submit it electronically.
Compliance Training
All Penn State Health employees must complete their 2019 annual compliance training before March 29. The online Compass training ensures that employees understand the key legal, ethical and policy aspects of patient care and the importance of accurate billing. As of today, 49 percent of employees at Penn State Health, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health Medical Group have completed the training. Forty-five percent of employees at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center have completed it.
One Cup Joe Fundraiser
One Cup Joe at 1154 Mae Street in Hummelstown is offering Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine employees a 10 percent discount on orders of K-cups when they present their work IDs throughout February. One Cup Joe will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network to fund equipment, programs and research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

Space Engineering and Osteosarcoma
Theresa Beech, a NASA space engineer and president, CEO and chief engineer of MetiSpace, will discuss “Applying Space Engineering Techniques to Osteosarcoma Genomics”:
- Monday, Feb. 18

Beech is also a patient advocate who discovered an effective chemotherapeutic drug against osteosarcoma to prolong the life of her son. Lunch will be provided at 11:15 a.m. Yuka Imamura of the Department of Pharmacology and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is hosting the event, which is sponsored by Four Diamonds.
NextGen Coffee Break
NextGen, Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine’s affinity group for early-career individuals, is hosting a coffee break:
