One Cup Joe Fundraiser

One Cup Joe at 1154 Mae Street in Hummelstown is offering Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine employees a 10 percent discount on orders of K-cups when they present their work IDs throughout February. One Cup Joe will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network to fund equipment, programs and research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

‘Heart to Heart’

Experts from Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute will present the latest advances in heart failure treatment on “Heart to Heart,” a live call-in show on abc27:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 27
  • 7:30-8 p.m.

Patients will share their stories of receiving a left ventricular assist device and a heart transplant. Viewers can email questions to questions@abc27.com or call 717-346-3333 starting at 7 p.m. Cardiologist Dr. Howard Eisen will preview the stories on “Good Day PA” at 10 a.m.

One Button Studio

Multimedia Specialist Michel Cote will host a free session on using the One Button Studio and iMovie to create videos:

Participants will create a project from start to finish and learn how to use the green screen and the basic editing features in iMovie.

Facility Dog Snuggle

Children’s Hospital facility dogs Kaia and Becky and their handlers will drop in for a visit:

‘RBG’ Screening

The Commission for Women is hosting a free screening of the Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg documentary “RBG”:

A meal will be provided.

Virtual Reality Open House

Library staff will assist visitors as they test new virtual reality equipment:

  • Thursday, March 14
  • Noon-1 p.m.

Staff will teach visitors how to use any of the installed software such as ShareCare VR, Organon, MedicalHolodeck and several games.

Free Concert

Peter Sirotin and Friends will present a concert entitled “The Gift of Impermanence”:

Sirotin is director of Market Square Concerts and the concertmaster of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra.
