PTO/Vacation Donation

Three employees have been approved for the primary Paid Time off (PTO)/Vacation Donation Program:

  • Andrea Todd, Information and Referral Center
  • Christopher Williams, Environmental Health
  • Mayerling Zeigler, Penn State Health Medical Group – Colonnade

Employees interested in donating their Primary PTO hours may do so by going to mySolutions, search “PTO Donation” (log-in may be required) and submit it electronically.

Spirit of Children Donates to Children’s Hospital

Spirit of Children presented a check for $68,473 to Penn State Health Children’s Hospital on Jan. 30. The funds were raised in Spirit Halloween stores during last fall’s campaign to support Child Life. The mission of Spirit of Children is to make hospital stays less scary for kids and their families by raising funds for Child Life programs at hospitals in local communities, including Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

One Cup Joe Fundraiser

One Cup Joe at 1154 Mae Street in Hummelstown is offering Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine employees a 10 percent discount on orders of K-cups when they present their work IDs throughout February. One Cup Joe will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network to fund equipment, programs and research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.

Esteem Webchat

Physicians from Esteem, Penn State Health Cosmetic Associates, will perform two cosmetic procedures live and take questions from viewers during a one-hour special edition of “Good Day PA”:

Viewers will also meet a father/daughter team who both had varicose veins procedures and follow a patient through her face-lift journey.

Christine Bruce, director of the Physician Assistant Program in General Internal Medicine, will discuss “The Role of a Physician Assistant in our Current Health Care System” at the next Clinical Documentation Improvement Lunch and Learn:
