Campus Facilities Requests

Employees who would like to request the use of campus facilities for outside organizations should email Leslie Einhorn Ravitz, special events manager, via email or 717-531-0003, x285153. Outside organizations are defined as those outside Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine. The Events Committee and Risk Management Department will review all requests. This new process took effect on Jan. 7.

Teen Volunteers

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Volunteer Department is accepting requests for the Summer Teen Volunteer Program, which will run from June 10 to Aug. 16. Requests are due by Feb. 4. Download the form and send it to Tracy Johnsen, Volunteer Services manager, in Room HO57 or fax it to 717-531-0422.

Julie Radico, a board certified clinical health psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, will share strategies for coping with stress at “Lunch and Learn: Stress Busters:”

Microbiome Chat

Daniel Zurawski, chief, pathogenesis and virulence, at Walter Reed Army Institute of research, will discuss “Acinetobacter baumannii: A Journey from Virulence to Treatment.” The talk is hosted by the Clinical Pathology Department:

Global Health Night

Dr. Judith Lasker, author of “Hoping to Help: The Promises and Pitfalls of Global Health Volunteering,” will be the featured speaker for Global Health Night, sponsored by the College of Medicine’s Global Health Interest Group:

Research Quality Assurance Workshop

Research Quality Assurance will discuss eye wash, reporting work-related injury that require hospitalization and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at its quarterly regulatory workshop:
