Holliman Wins Lifetime Leadership Award

Dr. James Holliman was named recipient of the Gautam Bodiwala Lifetime Leadership Achievement Award from the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM). He received the award in recognition of his “extensive and continuous commitment to the International Federation for Emergency Medicine…in addition to extensive and continuous commitment to the specialty of emergency medicine in [his] own country,” wrote Dr. Jim Ducharme, IFEM president.

Wild Onions Call for Entries

Faculty and staff – both clinical and non-clinical – as well as patients, families, students and volunteers are invited to submit original literary, artistic or photographic work to Wild Onions by Tuesday, Jan. 15. The publication for the literary and visual arts is funded by The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine, Penn State College of Medicine. Visit the Wild Onions website to submit a work. Trans 101 Training

Brian Patchcoski, director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Resource Center at Penn State, will conduct a training session to provide a greater understanding of transgender issues, introducing terminology, care consideration, culture and misconceptions:
