St. Joseph Marks Fourth Anniversary of Joining Penn State Health

Four years ago today, on July 1, 2015, St. Joseph Medical Center joined Penn State Health. “Adding St. Joseph to our Penn State Health family enhances our ability to provide increased access to specialty care for the people of the Berks region in a high-quality, low-cost setting,” said Dr. Craig Hillemeier at the time. Hillemeier was then dean, CEO and senior vice president for health affairs. “It also will allow us to engage the community in meaningful ways to enhance overall health and well-being.”

Independence Day Concert

The annual “An American Salute” concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, on the lawn in front of the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The rain date is Thursday, July 4.

The outside lane of Crescent Road will close at 3 p.m. on July 3 for food truck placement. Both lanes will close at 5:30 p.m. and reopen at about 10 p.m. The first row of parking spaces in the center section of Lot C will close at midnight on Tuesday, July 2, and re-open at noon on Friday, July 5.

Kara Bowers, project manager, and Angela Schlegel, project coordinator of Penn State Pro Wellness, will host a live cooking demonstration called “Three Steps to Fast Cooking and Meal Prep”:
