Looking for a Few Good Trikers

Volunteers interested in representing Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine in the United Way of the Capital Region’s 23rd Annual Trike Race should contact Jessica Wadsworth, community outreach coordinator, by Wednesday, June 19. The event takes place:

  • Friday, July 19
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center parking lot
  • 2300 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg

Thrive Fit Fest 2019

Penn State Health will host Thrive Fit Fest 2019, central Pennsylvania’s only fitness festival:

  • Saturday, June 22
  • 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Capital City Airport, 210 Airport Road, New Cumberland
  • Free tickets here

The event offers latest workout regimens, classes and workshops. Tim Card, the first chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy patient at Penn State Cancer Institute, will discuss how his dedication to fitness helped him when he was faced with a cancer diagnosis.

Bike and Blend

Celebrate National Smoothie Day by pedaling an exercise bike to make your own free smoothie:

  • Friday, June 21
  • 1-3:30 p.m. (while supplies last)
  • College of Medicine entrance

The event is free and sponsored by Penn State LionPulse and Penn State PRO Wellness.

Veggies Top to Bottom

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center’s Department of Nursing will teach children about cabbage, Brussels sprouts and lettuce as part of their “Veggies Top to Bottom” series:
