Adley Wins Woman of Influence Award

April Adley, vice president of nursing services for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital and Women’s Health, was named one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2020 Women of Influence. The award honors women business leaders for their contributions to their companies, industries and communities.

Upcoming events

Independence Day Concert

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present “An American Salute,” the annual Independence Day celebration:

  • Wednesday, July 3
  • 7:30 p.m.
  • Hershey Medical Center front lawn

Admission and parking are free, and the Medical Center will provide complimentary water and ice cream. Food and drinks will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Outlook on the Move

Information Services will discuss the Outlook on the Move initiative:

  • Monday, July 8
  • Wednesday, July 10
  • Tuesday, July 16

Outlook on the Move is near completion at Penn State Health’s Reading and Lancaster locations. In mid-to-late July, Information Services will begin the migrations at Hershey locations. Visit the project website for more information.

Opioid Talk

Dr. Sarah Kawasaki of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute will discuss “Opioid Use Disorder, Treatments and Challenges”:

Operations

Parking Changes at Hershey

From Monday, July 1 to Sunday, July 14, the University Fitness Center and University Conference Center at Hershey Medical Center will temporarily block about 15 parking spaces while work crews demolish curbs. Vehicles will still be permitted in the lot throughout the day. On July 11 and 12, the west portion of the University Fitness Center lot will close for paving.
