‘Brainstorm’

Penn State Health neurologists will discuss the latest advances in treating multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease, and two patients share their stories of recovery on WHTM-TV abc27’s “Brainstorm”:

Alexander Kippel, professor of Geographic Information Science at Penn State, will discuss “Immersive Technologies: Opportunities for Research, Education and Outreach”:

Head and Neck Cancer Screening

Penn State Cancer Institute is offering a free oral, head and neck cancer screening:

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

The University Fitness Center is hosting a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course:

  • Mondays, April 15 – June 10 (except Memorial Day)
  • 6 p.m.
  • Sign-up here

Full tuition is $500. Employee cost: $250. Students and residents: $200. Human Resources will pay $250. The course includes eight 2.5- to 3-hour weekly group classes, a one-hour orientation on Monday, April 1, and a 7-hour silent retreat on Saturday, May 18.
