“Thyroid Cancer — A Matter of Facts”
Penn State Health doctors will discuss the region’s history of thyroid cancer and the latest treatments for it on abc27’s “Thyroid Cancer – A Matter of Facts”:

Dr. David Goldenberg will talk about a family who conquered thyroid cancer together. He’ll also discuss his research on Three Mile Island, the nuclear power plant where a partial meltdown occurred on March 28, 1979. Dr. Neerav Goyal and Dr. Brian Saunders will also talk with patients live during the program. Goldenberg will appear on “Good Day PA” at 10 a.m. to promote the 7:30 p.m. show.
Coffee with Doctors
In honor of National Doctors’ Day, Penn State Health is inviting community members to have a free cup of coffee with doctors from the network:
- Saturday, March 30
- 8-10 a.m.
- Two locations:
- Cornerstone Coffeehouse, 2133 Market Street, Camp Hill
- Grand Central Bagel Café, 245 Centerville Road, Lancaster
Patients with a story to share about Penn State Health doctors are asked to submit them to the Facebook page @pennsthershey. The stories will be shared with doctors on March 30.
Free Concert
Elena Millar and Nikita Burakovskly will perform works by Beethoven, Kreisle, Shnittke and Chopin in a concert:
The piano-violin duets are part of the “In the Key of D” concert series.
Diversity Talk
Rosemary Browne, president and CEO of Alder Health Services, will give a talk on “Extra-Ordinary Care for Diverse Patients by Care Providers – Intersection of Sexual Orientation and Race/Ethnicity”:

Tisket-a-Tasket Basket Event
The annual Tisket-a-Tasket Basket Event benefits the Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. Employees can purchase tickets for $1 at a variety of locations:
- Noon-3 p.m., Monday, April 8, 30 Hope Drive, Room 1019, Entrance B
- 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, Academic Support Building, Room 1101
- Noon-3 p.m., Thursday April 11, Crystal A, Room 2349 (Crystal A employees only)
Tickets will also be sold in Dining Rooms A and B of the Rotunda Café:

Each ticket enters the buyer into a drawing for the basket at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 12 in Dining Rooms A and B.
