Performance Goals due May 8

All Penn State Health employees must enter their 2019 performance goals into the Human Capital Management system by May 8. Goals should be specific, measurable, attainable and relevant and include a time element. All goals must be entered and approved by a manager. For instructions, visit mySolutions. Penn State Health Selects New General Counsel

Annemarie Martin Boyan has been named Penn State Health’s general counsel and associate general counsel for Penn State, effective June 24. She will replace Mark Faulkner, who will retire this summer after 39 years of service to Penn State. Boyan was deputy general counsel for health care at Rutgers University and helped guide that university’s leadership on health care-related matters affecting Rutgers Biomedical Health Science schools, institutes and practices. Before that, Boyan served the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as associate general counsel and worked for Temple University Health System, advancing from associate to senior counsel.

Picnics of Appreciation

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center will host its annual hospitalwide picnics of appreciation in conjunction with 2019 National Hospital Week:

  • Friday, May 3 — 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Granada Avenue
  • Saturday, May 4 — 4-7:30 p.m. tent outside the Rotunda Café
  • Tuesday, May 7 — 11 am.-2 p.m. Biomedical Research Building courtyard
  • Tuesday, May 7 — 4-7 p.m. Biomedical Research Building courtyard
  • Thursday, May 9 — 11 p.m.-2 a.m. Rotunda Café
  • Friday, May 10 — 11 a.m.-1 pm., 30 Hope Drive patio

In the event of inclement weather, picnics scheduled for the Biomedical Research Building courtyard will move to the Rotunda Café.

Emergency Preparedness Grand Rounds

Lt. Col. Eric A. Roberge, chief of radiology at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash., will discuss “Crisis Management and Key Concepts of Mass Casualties” during an Emergency Preparedness Grand Rounds:
