Employee Engagement Survey

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine employees can provide feedback about the organization through the 2019 Employee Engagement survey. The survey launches on June 3 and will remain open through June 24. Penn State Health will use the results to analyze the current state of the organizational culture related to employee engagement. Business Women’s Forum

Penn State Health is a major sponsor of the Business Women’s Forum:

Penn State Health will sponsor the Wellness Walk and the Mother’s Privacy Room. Representatives will offer information on telemedicine, Penn State Health Children’s Hospital services and the health system’s growth. Meet Dr. Right

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center will host a “Meet Dr. Right” events, where Highmark members will meet with in-network providers:

Free health screening and refreshments will be available.

 ‘Stroke Smart’

Penn State Health physicians will discuss the signs and symptoms of stroke, treatment options and support group information during a live call-in show on abc27, “Stroke Smart”:

Featured doctors include Dr. Ray Reichwein, neurologist; Dr. Kevin Cockroft, neurosurgeon; and Dr. Cathleen Adams, neurologist.

Memorial Day Observance

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine will host its annual Memorial Day event:

  • Thursday, May 23
  • 11 a.m.
  • Biomedical Research Building courtyard

The event features a ceremonial flag-folding presentation, remarks from Penn State Health leaders and staff and free ice cream. Employees, patients and visitors are invited to attend. A Missing Man Table will be on display in the hospital cafeteria in honor of fallen, missing and imprisoned service members.

Farmer’s Market Opens

The 10th annual Farmer’s Market in Hershey and Summer Concert Series opens for the season on Thursday, May 23:

  • Thursdays, May 23-Oct. 24
  • 2:30-6:30 p.m.
  • 1214 Research Blvd, Hershey (Off Bullfrog Valley Road/U.S. Route 322)

Local musicians will give free concerts from 6-8 p.m. Children can also participate in the Summer 2019 Cubs Caring for our Community activities from 2:30-5:30 p.m.

Literature Lecture

Bernice Huasman, chair of Penn State College of Medicine’s Department of Humanities, will discuss “Literature and Otherness: What Reading Teaches Us” during her inaugural lecture:

Hillemeier, Faulkner Retirement Celebrations

All employees, faculty, staff and students are invited to a retirement celebration for Dr. Craig Hillemeier, dean of Penn State College of Medicine, CEO of Penn State Health and senior vice president for health affairs at Penn State; and Mark Faulkner, general counsel of Penn State Health:
