‘Good Day PA’

Penn State Health physicians will discuss women’s health and the need for more outreach to minorities about yearly exams during “Good Day PA” on abc27:

Featured doctors include Dr. Josh Kesterson, a gynecologist and obstetrician at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and Dr. Sarah Ramirez, an obstetrician at Penn State Health Medical Group — Harrisburg.

Literature Lecture

Bernice Hausman, chair of Penn State College of Medicine’s Department of Humanities, will discuss “Literature and Otherness: What Reading Teaches Us” during her inaugural lecture:

Children’s Miracle Network Telethon

The 35th annual Children’s Miracle Network Telethon will broadcast live from Penn State Health Children’s Hospital on WGAL 8:

Organizers hope to purchase a new pediatric ambulance with the proceeds. The telethon will give each $35 donor a shirt designed by Miracle Child Lilly, who was born at 29 weeks after her mom was critically injured in a car accident.

Pregnancy and Contraception in Congenital Heart Disease

Dr. Anisa Chaudhry, a cardiologist at Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute, will give a presentation on “Pregnancy and Contraception in Congenital Heart Disease” at an Adult Congenital Heart Association event:

Operations

Campus Drive Paving

Select sections of Campus Drive on the Hershey Medical Center campus will be closed for paving from Friday, May 31 until Saturday, June 1.  A flagging crew will assist with traffic, and one lane will remain open at all times. Call 717-531-8010 for more information.

East Corridor Restrooms to Close

Restrooms in the Hershey Medical Center East corridor across from the administration suite will be permanently closed on Monday, June 3 for construction of new catheterization laboratories. The main hospital restrooms are located west of the Rotunda.
