Reporting Patient Care and Employee Safety Concerns
Employees of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center who have a patient care or employee safety concern have the right to report their concern to The Joint Commission, a nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies U.S. health care organizations and programs. As per Penn State Health policy “Non-Retaliation Policy” CCP-004, an employee who voluntarily reports a patient care or employee safety concern to The Joint Commission will not experience workplace adverse action(s). Flu Shot Clinic
Penn State Health administered 725 free flu shots to Lebanon area residents at a drive-through clinic on Oct. 20. “Some of our clients traveled a distance, and many stated that they would not have gotten a vaccine this year without our drive-through event,” said Judy Dillon, community health director. Domino’s Pizza donated a free slice of pizza to everyone who received a flu shot.

Pet Therapy Awareness Day
