Jill Eckert elected as physician director to American Board of Anesthesiology

Jill Eckert, DO, program director of the Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine Residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, was recently elected to the board of directors for the certifying body for anesthesiologists.

Eckert will begin a term as a physician director to the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) in October 2022, according to a Feb. 10 announcement by the ABA.

In addition to serving as residency program director, Eckert is associate professor and vice chair for residency and education in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine.

She is an oral board examiner and author for the ABA, writing exam questions for pain management and serving on the organization’s committee for pain management.
