Keller recognized with Excellence in Enhancing Diversity and Inclusion Award

Michelle Keller, a nursing professional development specialist and nursing quality specialist, is the March 2025 recipient of the Excellence in Enhancing Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Keller has incorporated diversity and inclusion into educational content for nurses across the organization. She includes diverse people and perspectives, uses inclusive language and adapts her approach to meet the needs of the learners she serves. Keller also encourages diverse learners to share their ideas and experiences to create a richer, more powerful learning experience for all. She recently helped review and recommend offerings for the diversity, equity and inclusion curriculum for nurses.
A member of the Disability Business Employee Resource Group, Keller is also a strong advocate for accessibility. She seeks and provides feedback about barriers to accessibility, creating safe opportunities for open dialogue about the unintended consequences of implicit biases. She respectfully escalates concerns about accessibility and equity gaps and works collaboratively to develop solutions. In 2023, Keller participated in the ADEPT-CARE video education project, which was aimed at helping health care providers care for people with disabilities.
Keller identified her hidden hero as Elizabeth “Liz” Holbert, nursing professional development leader.
