Content sharing improved in library group study rooms
Harrell Health Sciences Library has improved the content sharing technology in its group study rooms.
Many times when studying in a group, students or residents need to share the content from their own devices with their team. The library has offered Mersive Solstice technology to allow them to do so; however, the software that was installed on the group study room computers wasn’t very stable and was hard to maintain.
Working with Penn State Health IT Multimedia Services, the library has upgraded all the software to Solstice Pods and re-programmed the AMX keypads. This should create a more seamless experience for users.
To use Solstice in the group study rooms, users press the “Solstice” button on the keypad and follow the instruction on the computer screen to get connected and start sharing. Those encountering any problems should stop by the library service desk.
