United Way of the Capital Region volunteers Marion and Bill Alexander talk about the agency’s 100 years of service to the community. Users on clinical workstations can watch it on their personal device.
United for our community
Over the past several weeks, you’ve met people from our community who have benefited from United Way programs, including:
- Ethan who had a speech impairment and vision problems that caused him to miss developmental milestones
- Cain who needed help preparing academically and socially for kindergarten
- Jade who needed a car to get to and from work safely
- Christy who moved from transitional housing to being able to provide a stable home for her daughter
It’s not too late to make a real difference in the lives of your neighbors. This year, for the first time, all Penn State Health entities and the College of Medicine have teamed up on the campaign and are working toward a goal of $435,000.
Donations will go to your local United Way agency. You can direct your pledge to a nonprofit organization of your choice or to United Way’s general campaign.
If you plan to continue your current payroll deduction, you do not have to complete a pledge form. Payroll contributions and designations are continuous unless changed.
