Live United: United Way campaign kicks off today

For the first time, all Penn State Health entities and Penn State College of Medicine are participating together in the United Way campaign, which kicks off today and runs through Friday, Nov. 19.
“Participating in the United Way campaign is an easy way for all of us to come together and help the communities where we live and work,” said Steve Massini, Penn State Health CEO. “It addresses hunger and homelessness, improves access to health care, prepares kids for schools and adults for the workplace, and aids our neighbors when they are facing some of life’s most difficult situations.”
Penn State Health and the College of Medicine have set a goal of $435,000 for the campaign.

How to give
The easiest way to give is through payroll deduction. Employees can direct their pledge to a specific nonprofit organization or to United Way’s general campaign fund. Donations will go to employees’ local United Way agency.
