Looking for a few good trikers

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine employees, faculty and students are invited to participate in the United Way of the Capital Region’s 23rd Annual Trike Race:

  • Friday, July 19
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center parking lot
  • 2300 N. Cameron Street, Harrisburg

The trike team will race groups from other local organizations in this friendly competition, which kicks off the United Way 2019 Campaign. Riders are encouraged to wear costumes (don’t forget a helmet!) and trick out their trikes. Members of the cheering section are also needed.

Volunteers should ask their supervisor for permission to participate and email Jessica Wadsworth, community outreach coordinator, by June 19 at jwadsworth1@pennstatehealth.psu.edu. Put “Trike Volunteer” in the subject line and your name and contact information in the body of the email.

Four riders and an alternate will be randomly selected June 21 and notified to verify their availability. The winners will be announced in iNews on Monday, June 24.

“Both riders and cheerleaders are guaranteed to have a terrific time!” said Jim George, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center director of community relations.
