Massini, Black: ‘A perfect time to say thank you’

In their message to Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees on March 4, Penn State Health CEO Steve Massini and Penn State College of Medicine Interim Dean Dr. Kevin Black extended their gratitude and an invitation to attend the Employee Appreciation Weekend at Hersheypark on Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24:
Today is Employee Appreciation Day.
It’s a perfect time to say thank you for choosing to improve the health of our community through your work within our organization. We couldn’t do what we do without you.
It’s also a perfect time to invite you to Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine Employee Appreciation Weekend, taking place at Hersheypark Saturday and Sunday, April 23 and 24.
We teamed up with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts to offer our organization’s employees the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets at $15 each. Additional tickets may be purchased for $32 each. Parking will be free, and we’ll have a pavilion where, at different times throughout the weekend, you can stop by for a snack and socialize with your colleagues.
Hersheypark is not open to the public so there will be shorter ride wait times during this semi-exclusive weekend.
You can learn more about Employee Appreciation Weekend here. College of Medicine employees can also look here.
Milton S. Hershey, whose ingenuity and generosity led to our founding, once famously said, “One is only happy in proportion as he makes others feel happy and only as useful as he contributes his influences for the finer callings in life.”
We can think of no finer calling in life than serving others, as we do together.
We hope this weekend will serve as a small gesture of our gratitude for your unwavering commitment to our organization, our students and to the patients who entrust us with their well-being.
Enjoy your special day!
