Massini: Holy Spirit becomes part of Penn State Health family Nov. 1

Penn State Health CEO Steve Massini sent the following email to employees across the health system on Thursday:
Dear Colleagues,
As we near the end of October, we know that many of you have questions about the status of Holy Spirit and its transition into Penn State Health. Transition teams across our organizations have been working tirelessly to prepare for Day 1 operations.
Today, we officially executed our agreement to transfer Holy Spirit from Geisinger to Penn State Health effective Sunday, Nov. 1. As of Sunday, Holy Spirit and its workforce will become part of the Penn State Health family.
I want to thank the many individuals and teams who are shepherding this historic transition and preparing for Holy Spirit’s 2,600-member workforce to join Penn State Health. Your efforts are vital to strengthening health care choice in the greater Harrisburg region and preserving continuity of care for Holy Spirit patients. I am so proud of all of your efforts and what you have been able to accomplish.
Let’s continue to work together to ensure the transition goes smoothly, and please join me in welcoming our Holy Spirit colleagues to the Penn State Health team. Thank you.
Steve Massini
